About the craft- Syahi-Begar is block printing technique practised by Chippa community of a village named bagru near Jaipur, rajasthan. This extensive process starts with treating the fabric with harda for removing the starch and impurities from the fabric. The craftsmen then prints the black part-called Syahi, onto the fabric using handcarved wooden blocks. The blacl colour comes from natural ingredients like scra iron and jaggery.The red part is called Begar (created with natural ingredients like alum, gum paste and pinch of geru red). The red part is then printed giving the fabric a traditional red and black look.

Care instructions: First wash Dry Clean; wash in cold water with mild detergents, do not wring, dry in shade.

The irregularities in print are not defects but a sign of an authentic handcrafted product. The color of the product may slightly vary due to camera and lights effects
